~CREATIVE STRING DAY CAMPS~

Spring Break Sessions : 

Spring Break Sessions will explore improvisation skills, theory, and ear training through the study of contemporary styles and will also have elements of ensemble coaching. April 2 – 6, 2012 9am – noon.

Creative Summer String Experience : Established in 2006, String Project LA´s Summer String Experience offers two one-week day camps located in Santa Monica, CA for elementary, middle and high school string players.

Rock Youth Orchestra {RYO}: Our Rock Youth Orchestrasbegan meeting in 2007. Since then, we’ve been having a great time working on every style of music from Freddie Hubbardand U2 to Dr. Dre and Rage Against the Machine. RYO students have enjoyed regular live performances at some of LA’s coolest venues. While we work towards live concerts throughout the year, students can create their own small groups at any time to fit their age, interests, and experience level. (No experience playing in alternative styles or improvising is required.)

Alternative String Groups {ASG}: Focuses on what the student is interested in. The class can focus on rhythm ,style of music, electric instrument, singer songwriter style, improvisation more, extended techniques. (2 month commitment required. 4 student minimum.)
